The Winchester SXR² Field ADJ combines a traditional walnut stock with a practical modern platform developed for driven hunting and fast follow-up shots. This configuration is chambered in .30-06 Springfield and features a 530 mm barrel, factory M14×1 muzzle thread, detachable MG4 DBM magazine and a total capacity of 4+1 rounds.
The adjustable cheekpiece allows the shooter to align the head more precisely with the mounted optic. The gas-operated action, seven-lug rotating bolt and 15 mm Inflex II recoil pad are designed to support reliable cycling, controlled handling and greater comfort during consecutive shots.
The Field version retains the traditional appearance of a hunting rifle with a Grade 1 Turkish walnut stock and fore-end finished in satin varnish. The ADJ configuration includes a height-adjustable cheekpiece that allows the eye line to be matched more accurately to the height of the mounted riflescope or red-dot sight.
The more upright pistol grip positions the hand securely behind the trigger. Modern chequering and a pronounced palm swell improve control, while the tapered hunting fore-end provides stable support for the leading hand.
The gas system uses part of the energy generated by the shot to operate the mechanism and automatically extract, eject and feed the next cartridge. The cycling system is designed to provide reliable operation with compatible factory ammunition within the permitted parameters of the calibre.
Part of the recoil impulse is used to operate the action instead of being transferred entirely to the shooter’s shoulder. Together with the Inflex II recoil pad, this supports a more controlled recoil sensation and faster recovery of the sight picture.
After ignition, part of the expanding gases is directed into the gas system.
The gas piston transfers movement to the bolt assembly.
The rotating bolt releases its seven locking lugs after chamber pressure has fallen safely.
The fired case is extracted and ejected from the receiver.
The return system feeds the next cartridge and locks the bolt into the barrel extension.

The MG4 DBM designation identifies a configuration with a detachable box magazine. The magazine holds four cartridges, and with one cartridge in the chamber the total capacity is 4+1.
The detachable design makes visual inspection, unloading and separate storage of the magazine easier. The magazine sits close to the lower receiver line and does not project excessively below the rifle.
The SXR² is equipped with open sights developed for fast target alignment during dynamic hunting situations. The rear sight uses a Battue-style design, while the fibre-optic front sight remains clearly visible in changing ambient light.
Collects available light and creates a bright reference point at the end of the barrel.
The sights can be adjusted using a suitable 1.5 mm hex key.
The receiver accepts compatible fixed mounts or a suitable Browning NOMAD mounting system.
The enlarged bolt handle is easier to operate while wearing gloves. The bolt hold-open device keeps the action open, making visual inspection easier and clearly showing that the bolt is in its rear position.
The cross-bolt safety is positioned in the trigger guard and can be reversed by a qualified specialist to suit the preferred operating direction.
